  1. Well done! The picture of chickens being delivered was a little misleading . . . they were being delivered by Lawrence Gahr of Escondido. He raised our chickens until about 1941 or 1942. (I may have spelled his name wrong!) After that the North half of the Twin Inns property was converted to produce our own birds. One other thing . . . our chickens were NOT plucked! They were skinned! Dad must have been among the first to serve “Skinless Chicken”!
