April 15– Retracing Carlsbad’s Past by Susan Schnebelen Gutierrez
May 20– History of Oceanside by Kristi Hawthorne
Murray Levy, holds a PhD. from USC in Education, is a member of the Carlsbad Historical Society, and Vice Chair of the Carlsbad Historical Preservation Commission. Murray recently moved to Carlsbad after living and working many years in Pasadena California as City Historian, Historical Docent for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and Sierra Club historical walking tour leader for Southern California cities.
Kristi Hawthorne is the author of “Oceanside: Where life is worth living” (2000) and the President of the Oceanside Historical Society
